Home sauna room planning: measure the space before choosing a kit
A home sauna can fit on paper and still be impractical to deliver, assemble or connect. Use this room-planning worksheet to compare documented cabin dimensions with your actual site.
Start with the installation location
Decide whether the proposed space is indoors or outdoors before using exterior product measurements. Use our indoor sauna comparison or outdoor kit comparison to narrow to manufacturer-designated placement. An indoor model is not automatically suitable for outdoor weather.
Measure three dimensions — then look beyond them
Record the usable width, depth and height of the intended location. Sketch door swing, nearby walls, ceiling obstructions and the route from the delivery point. Check packed dimensions and assembly access separately from assembled dimensions. If a manufacturer publishes only the cabin exterior dimensions, request its installation drawing and required clearances rather than inventing a room-fit margin.

Compare the exact kit, not only person count
Published occupancy is not a substitute for bench dimensions or personal comfort. If interior room or bench measurements are missing, ask the seller. Likewise, two units with identical advertised capacities may have different exterior footprints and delivery packages.
